Never leave them lying around or allow copies to be made unless your manager tells you to. Never give your keys to anyone without specific written or verbal permission from your manager, especially if you don’t know them. If you lose a Company key, you must report it immediately to your manager– any delay may present a serious security risk and could be treated as a disciplinary issue. For safety and security reasons the requirement is that there should always be two people in the building at all times opening & locking up and, if you are the last two to leave any company premises, make sure that the premises are properly locked and alarmed. If you think the alarm system is not working properly, or there are other problems with securing premises effectively, you must notify your manager, operations manager or Regional Ops Director immediately, no matter what time it is. 15.2 ACCESS/PROHIBITED AREAS Certain areas of Company premises may be for authorised personnel only. Please respect this decision, and don’t try to go into them unless you have the relevant authorisation. You should not go beyond public areas of Company premises when you are off duty. 42
